  10. * What is the Ulead Browser? *

  13.     Ulead Browser is a program from Ulead Systems, Inc. that allows
  14. you to quickly browse the contents of your issue of clipart. You can 
  15. scroll through thumbnails for a quick visual view of the images on the
  16. CD or search for images by keyword, description, subject, or marks. Once
  17. found, image files can be previewed.

  23. ò  OPENING THE BROWSER IN WINDOWS 3.1x

  25.     1)  Open File Manager
  26.     2)  Select the CD-ROM drive.  Example (D:) drive
  27.     3)  Double click on the BROWSER directory
  28.     4)  Double click on the BROWSER2 directory
  29.     5)  Double click on BROWSER.EXE
  30.     6)  Click on the Album menu
  31.     7)  Select Open
  32.     8)  Select the CD-ROM drive from the Drives box
  33.     9)  Double click on the root directory.  Example D:\
  34.     10) Double click on the ALBUM directory
  35.     11) Double click on the *.ABM file.

  39.     1)  Double click on My Computer from the desktop or open Windows
  40.         Explorer and double click on My Computer
  41.     2)  Double click on the CD-ROM drive
  42.     3)  Double click on the BROWSER directory
  43.     4)  Double click on the BROWSER2 directory
  44.     5)  Double click on the BROWSER application
  45.     6)  Click on the Album menu
  46.     8)  Select Open
  47.     9)  Select the CD-ROM drive from the Drives box
  48.     10) Double click on the root directory.  Example D:\
  49.     11) Double click on the ALBUM directory
  50.     12) Double click on the *.ABM file.

  52. ò  SEARCHING FOR IMAGES
  53.  
  54.     When a search is performed, only the thumbnails in the current
  55. view are searched. If you want to search the entire album consecutively,
  56. select Search Entire Album from the Thumbnail menu or typing Ctrl+W.
  57.  
  58.     To perform a quick keyword search, choose Keyword from the left
  59. pull-down menu at the top of the screen; then choose a keyword from the
  60. right pull-down menu.  Then single click on the partial pie chart that
  61. is located to the right of the right pull-down menu.

  63.     To perform a search with more complex search criteria (for
  64. example, to combine two keywords using Boolean operators such as "and"
  65. or "or"), use the Search dialog box, accessed by choosing Search from
  66. the Thumbnails menu or typing Ctrl+S.

  68.     In the Search dialog box, choose your search criteria category
  69. from the pull-down menu and type your search words in the box to the
  70. right. To add more criteria separated by "and," "or" or "not," click the
  71. Add button. When finished, click OK to begin the search.

  73.     You can save a search for future use by typing a name in the Query
  74. text area inside the Search dialog box, then press Enter. To access a
  75. previously saved query, choose it from the pull-down Query menu. To
  76. delete a query, highlight it and click the Remove button.

  89.     Browser albums are read-only. If you wish to create new albums or
  90. modify existing albums, you will need to purchase the Ulead Image Pals
